PFAS Symposium

Co-Hosted by SWEP and A&WMA

SWEP and A&WMA hosted a half-day per- and poly- fluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) symposium in April where attendees were able to learn and discuss the common dangers of PFAS and discuss regulatory perspective, approaches for correct use, and proper treatment of PFAS contamination in the environment.

Thank you to all who attended and the planning committee for pulling together a successful and educational event!

Earth Day Tree Planting

with Friends of the Riverfront

On Earth Day this year, SWEP members attending an Earth Day Tree Planting hosted by Friends of the Riverfront. As a part of the event, attendees cleared knotweed, planted trees along the Monongahela riverfront and attended other Earth Day activities as a part of the event.

Annual Charity Fundraiser to Support Dress for Success

Join SWEP Three Rivers as we host our annual Charity Event to Benefit Dress for Success Pittsburgh.

Includes a basket raffle (bring cash!) and donors of needed items will be entered to win a 2024 SWEP Three Rivers Corporate Membership (valued at $200!).

All donations and all ticket sales will be donated to the Dress for Success Pittsburgh location.

Tickets are $25 for members / $35 for non-members and include two drink tickets, appetizers, and networking!

Weekend Getaway at

Camp Soles

October 20 - 22, 2023

Join SWEP's weekend getaway to the Laurel Highlands this fall!

Camp Soles is a 200+ acre facility, recognized by many as one of the most beautiful camps in North America.

Camp Soles provides heated cabins with restrooms and shower access, along with 3 meals each day (prepared by their very own chef!) for all attendees.

Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in various activities at their leisure. Last year, we participated in different activities throughout the weekend, such as the climbing wall, arts and crafts, kayaking, hiking, and lakeside yoga. In the evenings, we all hung out around the campfire for s'mores, mountain pies, and beverages of choice!
